This move should look like an infinity sign (sideways figure 8) if you are looking at the dancer from the front.

Start with one leg straight and the other bent slightly at the knee:

Lift your hip straight up:

Lift your hip straight up

Push your hip down and out to the side:

Down and to side

Down and to side

Shift weight to opposite leg and lift opposite hip straight up:

Hip lifts straigth up

Opposite hip lifts straight up

Drop opposite hip down and to the side:


drop hip side

Drop opposite hip out to the side
